The Board of Commissioners of Chatham County intends to enter into a lease agreement for the following County-owned property:
BEING ALL that tract or parcel of land denominated as Lot #2, containing 16,487 square feet, more or less, as shown on that plat entitled “SUBDIVISION MAP OF MAGNOLIA TRACE, MAP 1” by Kenneth Close, Inc., Land Surveying, dated 6/19/98, which plat is recorded in the Chatham County Registry at Plat Slide 99-456, and to which plat reference is hereby made for a more particular description of same.
The County intends to renew the lease of the property to THERAPEUTICS ALTERNATIVES, INC.
The term (the “Term”) of this Lease is nine (9) years and shall commence on the 1st day of August, 2015 (the “Commencement Date”), and, unless terminated as hereinafter provided, shall exist and continue until midnight on the 30th day of June, 2025.
A copy of the Lease is available for review in the Office of the County Clerk during regular business hours. All persons interested in this lease are invited to attend the meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at the Chatham County Historic Courthouse, Pittsboro, NC, on Monday, July 20th at 6:00 P.M. At that time the Board intends to authorize the lease of the property described above.

PROCEDURE FOR PROPERTY OWNED BY THE TOWN OF
PITTSBORO BOARD OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
CONTROL

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that TOWN OF PITTSBORO BOARD OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL (“ABC”) has received an offer in the amount of $15,000.00 from Wine and Beer Are We LLC for the purchase of certain real property owned by the ABC, more particularly described as follows:
ALL of that certain lot or parcel of land containing 4,942 square feet or 0.113 acre, more or less, according to a plat entitled “Recombination Survey” prepared by Infinite Land Design, P.C. dated February 24, 2015, reference to which is hereby made for a more particular description.
SAVE AND EXCEPT the following:
1. A perpetual, non-exclusive easement for purposes of ingress, egress, and regress over and across the Property which shall be reserved by the Seller, its successors and assigns.
2. A perpetual right and easement for purposes of the use of two (2) parking spaces at a mutually agreeable location upon the Property which shall be reserved by the Seller, its successors and assigns.
3. A perpetual right and easement for purposes of the use, repair and replacement of a solid waste collection dumpster and access thereto at a mutually agreeable location upon the Property which shall be reserved by the Seller, its successors and assigns.
The terms of the offer are set forth in a contract of purchase and sale, available at the office of the Town of Pittsboro ABC. Any person wishing to upset the offer that has been received shall submit a sealed bid with their offer to the office of the ABC, 70 Sanford Road, Pittsboro, North Carolina, on or before 5:00 p.m. on July 13, 2015. At that time the ABC Clerk shall open the bids, if any, and the highest qualified bid will become the new offer. If there is more than one bid in the highest amount, the first such bid received will become the new offer. A qualifying higher bid is one that raises the existing offer to not less than $15,800.00.
A qualifying higher bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid; the deposit may be made in cash, cashier’s check, or certified check. ABC will return the deposit on any bid not accepted and will return the deposit on an offer subject to upset if a qualifying higher bid is received. ABC will credit the deposit of the final high bidder at closing. The buyer must pay cash at closing.
The Board of ABC Commissioners must approve the final high offer before it is accepted, and will do so within 30 days after the end of the final upset bid period. ABC reserves the right to withdraw the property from sale at any time before the final high bid is accepted and reserves the right to reject at any time all bids.
