Yard Waste and Storm Debris Management for Chatham
County Solid Waste &
Recycling Division

Chatham County is seeking proposals for the services of yard waste grinding and emergency debris management services. Variations of requested services will be reviewed and contracts will be awarded to the firm that best meet the needs of Chatham County. Services shall include at minimum:
Yard Waste Grinding Services:
• Provide mobile on-site yard waste grinding services annually within 30 days of request for grinding services made by the Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling Division. (Approximately 1,000 tons generated annually)
• Remove non-organic material from brush pile as needed. Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling Division will dispose of said non-organic material.
• Grind yard waste to a final product of 2”-3” or less. Windrow all ground products on site at Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling Division to approximately a height of 5 feet and width of 10 feet.
Emergency Debris
Management Services:
• Provide emergency response yard waste grinding services within 30 days of emergency request for services, on-site at locations determined by Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling Division.
• Provide material hauling and disposal services of storm debris or other excess brush resulting from an emergency within 30 days of request, in conjunction with Chatham County officials from Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling Division sites.
