Upon termination of a rental agreement, the tenant is liable for rent due under the rental agreement prorated to the effective date of the termination.
If the trustee is unable to convey title to this property for any reason, the sole remedy of the purchaser is the return of the deposit. Reasons of such inability to convey include, but are not limited to, the filing of a bankruptcy petition prior to the confirmation of the sale and reinstatement of the loan without the knowledge of the trustee. The Town of Siler City operates and maintains a 4.0 million gallon a day (mgd) extended aeration wastewater treatment facility. The sanitary sewer collection system is comprised of approximately 57 miles of 6” – 24” diameter lines, (7) pump stations and (5) Step System Pump Stations.
II. Performance
The wastewater treatment facility treated 641.464 million gallons of wastewater during the 2013-2014 fiscal year or an average of 1.7574 mgd.
Following is a summary of permit violations of the discharge limits for fiscal year 2013-2014.
No violations occurred during this fiscal year at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
One Sanitary Sewer Overflow occurred during this time period and was reported to the Division of Water Quality.
1. An overflow occurred on 12/29//2013 at 11:30 am in the area of 907 North Dogwood Ave. with approximate total of 700 gallons and approximately 200 gallons reaching a tributary to Loves Creek. Grease appeared to be the cause of the overflow. Town crews were on the scene within 30 minutes and contained the spill. The line was cleared and the tributary was dammed up with the overflow being pump back in to a nearby manhole.
III. Notification
This report is being made available to the user and customer by a newsletter in the water bill, posted notification, on the Town website and publication in The Chatham News.

Chatham County Schools will be accepting sealed bids on the following items:

The above surplus houses may be viewed beginning August 20, 2014.
These houses are offered as is. It is the responsibility of bid winner to remove house from existing location at no expense to Chatham County Schools by December 10, 2014. Bids must be placed on an official Chatham County Schools bid sheet and must be placed in a sealed envelope, plainly marked “Surplus Items Bid.”
Bid sheets may be picked up at the Chatham County Schools Administrative Offices at 369 West Street, Pittsboro, NC. The residential house appraisals are available upon request.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

At its August 18, 2014 meeting, the Board of Commissioners (the “Board”) of the County of Chatham, North Carolina (the “County”) adopted a resolution which:
• 1. Authorized the County to proceed to pay
(1) to pay the capital costs of constructing and equipping an agricultural center to replace the County’s existing agricultural center and a service facility for County-owned vehicles and vehicles owned by the County School Board (collectively, the “2014 Projects”);
(2) to refinance the principal components payable under an installment financing contract dated as of April 15, 2009 between RBC Bank (USA), the successor to which is PNC Bank, N.A., and the County, as amended, the proceeds of which were used to pay the capital costs of constructing and equipping Margaret B. Pollard Middle School in the County (the “2009 Project”); and
(3) to refinance a portion of the principal components payable under an installment financing contract dated as of November 1, 2006 between Chatham County Public Facilities Corporation and the County, the proceeds of which were used to pay the capital costs of (a) acquiring, constructing and equipping the Virginia Cross Elementary School in Siler City, North Carolina (the “Virginia Cross School Project”); (b) acquiring, constructing and equipping a cafeteria and classroom facilities at the Jordan Matthews High School in Siler City, North Carolina (the “Jordan Matthews High School Project”); (c) acquiring, constructing and equipping an addition to, and renovating, an existing building for the Department of Social Services (the “Social Services Building Project”); (d) acquiring, constructing and equipping water, sewer and roadway improvements at the Central Carolina Business Campus (the “Central Carolina Business Campus Project”); (e) acquiring, constructing and equipping a new high school in northeast Chatham County, North Carolina (the “Northeast High School Project”); (f) acquiring and installing softball field lighting and/or tennis field lighting at Northwood High School, Chatham Central High School and Jordan Matthews High School (the “Athletic Facilities Improvements” and together with the Virginia Cross School Project, the Jordan Matthews High School Project, the Northeast High School Project, the Social Services Building Project and the Central Carolina Business Campus Project, the “2006 Projects”) pursuant to an installment financing contract (the “Contract”), in a principal amount not to exceed $52,000,000 under which the County will make certain installment payments;
• 2. Authorized the County to proceed to provide, in connection with the Contract, as grantor, a deed of trust, security agreement and fixture filing (the “Deed of Trust”) under which the County’s interest in the real property on which the 2014 Projects will be and the 2009 Project is located and the improvements thereon (the “Mortgaged Property”), will be mortgaged by the County to create a lien thereon for the benefit of the entity, or its assigns, providing the funds to the County under the Contract. The portion of the 2014 Projects consisting of the new agricultural center will be located at 1192 Highway 64 West, Pittsboro, North Carolina and the portion of the 2014 Projects consisting of the new vehicle service center will be located at 166 County Services Road, Pittsboro, North Carolina. The 2009 Project is the Margaret B. Pollard Middle School located at 185 Granite Mill Road and Andrews Store Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27516.
On payment by the County of all installment payments due under the Contract, the Deed of Trust and any lien created thereunder will terminate and the County’s title to the Mortgaged Property will be unencumbered.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Sections 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, that on September 15, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse, 9 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro, North Carolina, a public hearing will be conducted concerning the approval of the execution and delivery of the Contract and the Deed of Trust and the County’s financing of the 2014 Projects and the refinancing of the 2006 Projects and the 2009 Project. All interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing regarding the execution and delivery of the Contract and the 2014 Projects to be financed and the 2006 Projects and 2009 Project to be refinanced thereby.

REQUEST for QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Testing

**Geotechnical firm will work for the Owner and this package is to be paid for by the Owner
Chatham County is seeking qualifications from qualified engineer firms for the services of geotechnical engineering and materials testing. These proposed projects will be on two separate sites approximately 4 miles apart – work involved for both will include the required geotechnical materials testing and the required special inspections – site (from clearing through building pad to include stone and some asphalt and segmented retaining walls) and building construction. This RFQ is to cover all phases of both projects. The proposed buildings will consist of one story structures constructed on slab-on-grade. The building footprint of the Agri-Civic Center is approximately 30,000 square feet and the EQ Office is approximately 5,000 square feet. Documents for both projects are available and must be reviewed prior to submission of bid. It is understood that the two projects will have separate schedules with the Agri-Civic Center having the longer which will run approximately 15 months and both will begin in summer/fall of 2014.
Engineers must submit three (3) written, bound responses and one electronic copy by 4:00 pm EST on Thursday, September 4th, 2014.
