The Pittsboro Town Board of Commissioners will hold the following Quasi-Judicial Public Hearing on Monday, October 23rd, 2017at 7:00 o’clock in the Town Council Chambers of the Pittsboro Town Hall, 635 East Street, Pittsboro, North Carolina, to consider the following items:

Rebuilding Together of the Triangle, Inc. (RTT) has been awarded $100,000 by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (“NCHFA”) under the 2017 cycle of the Urgent Repair Program (“URP17”).
This program provides funds to assist very-low and low-income households in Chatham County with special needs in addressing housing conditions which pose imminent threats to their life and/or safety or to provide accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to keep these homeowners in a safe, healthy home.
Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Homeowners who wish to be considered for assistance must apply by December 22, 2017.

One (1) copy of the proposal must be made on the blank forms provided in bidding documents.  The name, address, and license number of the bidder shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope.
Each bid shall be accompanied with a cash deposit or certified check issued to Town of Siler City and drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC or a Bid Bond prepared on the form of Bid Bond contained in the Bidding Documents or a Surety Company’s standard form and properly executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds. The amount of the bid bond shall be equal to five (5) percent of the total of the bid. The bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or fails to provide the required bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after the proper notice of award of the contract.
Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State of North Carolina and be appropriately licensed as a Contractor as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87.
Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any Addenda, obtained from any source other than the Owner’s representative, McGill Associates, P.A. Each Bidder shall be responsible for the review of all addenda for the project and shall acknowledge the addenda on the bid form.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, or to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. The Owner reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality, performance and time.
Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 as amended, which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin.  Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act, and 41 CFR 60-4.

Sealed bids for the project entitled Bray Park Pool Improvements will be received by the Town of Siler City until 2:30 p.m. local time October 30, 2017 in the Courtroom at Siler City, City Hall located at 311 N. Second Avenue, Siler City, North Carolina, 27344. At said place and time, all Bids that have been duly received, will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 am on October 19, 2017 at the Bray Park Poollocated at 700 Alston Bridge Road, Siler City, North Carolina 27344. Interested parties are required to attend this meeting to review the plans, ask for additional information or clarification and to visit the project site.
THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF the renovation of an existing pool, decorative paver pool deck, and aquatic play equipment. Provide and install all equipment, plumbing, and associated appurtenances necessary for pool operation.

COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN UPDATE

Chatham County North Carolina is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to update the current Comprehensive Master Plan for Parks and Recreation for the County.The Chatham County Parks and Recreation current Comprehensive Master Plan was developed in 2008, but was never approved and adopted by the Board of Commissioners.  The County has used the 2008 plan for guidance in the Parks and Recreation Department and facilities. The updated plan is being prepared to continue guiding the future growth, development and redevelopment of the Chatham County Parks and Recreation Department system.
Submittals must be received by Chatham County no later thanNovember 16, 5:00 PM.
